The LookUP project garnered widespread attention at the 2023 FITUR MADRID International Tourism Fair, held in Madrid from January 23-24, 2024. The event, renowned for its professional presentations, showcooking, and gastronomic tastings, provided a platform for various tourism initiatives, with LookUP standing out as a beacon of innovation and sustainability.
Visitors to Pavilion 7 were invited within the stand of the partner Junta de Extremadura and Turismo de Extremadura to partake in an engaging presentation in the Experiences Zone. The LookUP team showcased the significant accomplishments of the project, including the unveiling of important milestones: the Triple Transition for Tourism Playbook, the Mentoring Framework tool, the Triple Transition for Tourism training, and the Triple Transition Toolbox.
Following the presentation, attendees were encouraged to connect with LookUP project partners. This provided a unique opportunity for visitors to share doubts, experiences, and inquiries about sustainable tourism, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
As the last presentation at FITUR MADRID 2023, it was a pivotal moment for LookUP to showcase its innovative approach to sustainable tourism to a diverse audience of professionals and stakeholders. The project is positioning itself as an exemplary model, demonstrating how tourism can be both environmentally sustainable and economically viable. LookUP envisions contributing to the well-being of local communities while safeguarding natural resources.
In an era where the tourism industry is facing critical challenges, LookUP stands out as a trailblazer, guiding the way towards a future where responsible tourism practices are not just an aspiration but a tangible reality. The project’s success at FITUR MADRID 2024 is a testament to the importance and relevance of sustainable tourism in shaping the future of travel.
